Minimum Requirements for the Receiving Equipment of Digital Terrestrial Television Services

Title: Minimum Requirements for the Receiving Equipment of Digital Terrestrial Television Services
Description: The IRIB Recommendation on minimum receiver technical requirements for the reception of DVB-T2 (the second generation of digital terrestrial broadcasting) signal describes the minimum requirements to be met by DVB-T2 IDTVs (Integrated digital TV) and set top boxes in order to facilitate high-quality reception of free-to-air digital terrestrial television services in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The minimum requirements described in this Recommendation are based on Open Standards but the Recommendation also contains specific requirements regarding the conditions in Iran. This document was first issued in 2015 based on the consensus of different parties like IRIB and some of Receiver Manufacturers. In 2018, it was then updated by supporting HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) and the interactive HbbTV 2.0.1 Standard for hybrid devices.
